Watershed Programme
Rooted in Water, Rising in Opportunity
In line with the UN’s goal of clean water access (SDG 6), the SNCF’s Watershed Project in Maharashtra is bringing life back to the drought-stricken Talasari area. Through dam construction, well cleaning, and providing mogra saplings with training and marketing support, we’re ensuring sustainable water access for over 300,000 tribal residents. This not only improves their quality of life and discourages emigration but also empowers farmers with self-employment opportunities. With plans for 30 more dams, SNCF is on a mission to l eave a lasting positive impact on the region.
